CHAPTER SIX

 

Javert remained sitting in the garden long after his aide left. The sun had vanished behind clouds, and the breeze was now chilly…. his need for Richelleen rushed back and he warmed at the thought of her body next to his. Well, he smiled to himself; these kinds of thoughts were not going to get him anywhere except into a cold bath. He may as well go back to the office and finish his paperwork instead of returning home because the house did not feel right with them gone and he detested being home alone.
